IPL 2021: There is good news for cricket fans. The biggest hurdle in organizing the remaining matches of the 14th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been removed. In fact, at the request of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Cricket West Indies (CWI) has agreed to change the schedule of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). In such a situation, now BCCI can easily organize the remaining matches of IPL 2021 from September 19.
Significantly, the BCCI has announced that the remaining matches of IPL 2021 will be played in the UAE in September-October. Although the board has not yet announced its dates, many reports have claimed that the remaining matches of IPL 2021 will be held from September 19. But for this a change in the schedule of the Caribbean Premier League was necessary.
The upcoming season of CPL was scheduled from 28 August to 19 September. But the Indian board wanted Cricket West Indies to conclude the CPL before September 19, and that is why it did not officially announce the dates for the remaining matches of IPL 2021.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah had a conversation with CPL CEO Pete Russell regarding this, after which its schedule has been changed. Now the CPL will start three days before and the first tournament of IPL will end. According to the report of cricket website CricketBuzz, now the upcoming season of CPL will be played between August 25 and September 15.
