
The death toll in the train accident in Vijayanagaram, Andhra Pradesh has reached 13 so far. East Coast Railway CPRO Biswajit Sahu said that relief and rescue operations have been completed. Now the focus is on resuming rail operations on the track. Arrangements for buses and trains have been made for the passengers stranded due to the accident. Due to the accident, a total of 18 trains have been canceled so far and the route of 22 trains has been changed. We are trying to resume the operation of trains on the affected routes by 4 p.m.

Divisional Railway Manager of Waltair Division, Saurabh Prasad said that heavy machines and cranes have been called. The work is being done in coordination with the state government and fire department. The Railway Minister has announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh for the families of those killed in the accident, Rs 2.5 lakh for the seriously injured, and Rs 50 thousand for the moderately injured.
