40 people have been injured: Vizianagaram district administration
At the same time, news agency ANI quoted Vizianagaram district administration as saying that so far 40 people have been injured in the train accident, out of which 32 have been referred to Vizianagaram Government Hospital. One person has been admitted to Visakha NRI Hospital and two to Medicover Hospital. The condition of four people is critical. All the injured are from Andhra Pradesh.
The central government announced compensation
The central government has announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh each to the families of the victims who lost their lives in the train accident, Rs 2 lakh each to the seriously injured, and Rs 50 thousand each to those with minor injuries.
Andhra Pradesh CM expressed grief over the train accident
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has expressed deep grief over the accident and has directed officials to conduct rapid rescue operations. He announced an assistance of Rs 10 lakh each for the families of the deceased.
CM Reddy said that assistance of Rs 10 lakh each will be given to the families of those killed in the Vizianagaram train accident. This assistance is for those who are from Andhra Pradesh. At the same time, the families of those who died in this accident and are from other states will be given Rs 2 lakh each. Seriously injured passengers from Andhra Pradesh will get Rs 2 lakh each and seriously injured passengers from other states will get Rs 50,000.
