After the murder of Taylor Kanhaiyalal in the Dhanmandi police station area of Udaipur, the Rajasthan government has taken major action and removed the SP and IG range. Prafulla Kumar, the head of the SIT set up to investigate this case, has been made the new IG. The order was issued late on Thursday night.
Because of Friday prayers and Rath Yatra, the police administration is on alert mode. Internet service will remain closed in Rajasthan. A bandh has been announced in Alwar, Sikar, Bharatpur, and Kota on Friday in protest against Kanhaiyalal's murder. At the same time, the police and administrative officers have been instructed to remain alert regarding the Jagannath Rath Yatra going out in Udaipur. For the last two years, the Rath Yatra was not taken out due to the Corona epidemic, so special care is being taken regarding the Rath Yatra being taken out this year. Along with strict security arrangements, strict guidelines have been given to the officials. In terms of security, police have been asked to be on the alert mode in other districts of the state including Udaipur.
Killers are sent to 14 days of judicial custody
Earlier, the Udaipur district court sent the killers to 14 days of judicial custody. The SIT may interrogate him. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had met Kanhaiyalal's family members on Thursday. They were reported to the police. A few hours later, Udaipur SP Manoj Kumar and IG Hinglaj Dan have been removed. Manoj Kumar has been made the Commandant of the 2nd Battalion of RAAC Kota, while Hinglaj Dan has been made the Inspector General of Civil Rights, Jaipur. Udaipur's ACB SP Dr. Rajiv Pachar was sent to Commissionerate Jodhpur. The new SP of Udaipur will be Vikas Sharma, who has been the SP of Ajmer till now.
NIA did not confirm the terrorist connection
On Thursday, even after the criminals got judicial custody till July 13 from the court, the investigating agencies will interrogate both. On Thursday, it was said on behalf of the NIA that the connection with the terrorist organization behind the incident is not clear yet. No concrete evidence has been found so far.
Serious injuries to a constable in Rajsamand
