A decision may also be taken on setting up a committee to investigate the allegations against Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in the meeting. SC refuses to hear Parambir Singh's petition

The Supreme Court has refused to hear the petition of IPS Param Bir Singh seeking a CBI inquiry against Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. The court has asked the former Mumbai police commissioner to file a petition in the Bombay High Court. The judges, in their written order, have accepted that the matter is serious. But he did not give any direction to the High Court on his behalf. The only note noted in the order is that the petitioner's lawyer wants a hearing in the High Court tomorrow. He will apply for this in the High Court.

Home Ministry can be snatched from Deshmukh - sources

The cabinet may expand in Maharashtra in the first week of April. In this expansion, the Home Ministry can be withdrawn from Anil Deshmukh. With this, some other Congress MLAs can be included in the minister.
