The threat of war between Russia and Ukraine is increasing rapidly. Due to the dispute between the two countries, now countries around the world are issuing advisories for their citizens. In this episode, Canada has advised its citizens to cancel plans for non-essential travel to Russia and Ukraine. Referring to the order issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sputnik News Agency said that, because of the growing dispute between Russia and Ukraine, the Canadian government has asked its citizens not to travel to these countries.
According to the information, Russia has deployed 1 lakh soldiers on the Ukraine border. Many countries, including the US, have expressed fears that Russia may attack Ukraine. Due to which America has also advised its citizens to leave Ukraine. Apart from this, there are also reports that America is getting its embassy evacuated from Kiev in Ukraine. However, this escalating tension between Russia and Ukraine has also increased the risk of war between the superpowers. America has already warned Russia about a possible war. At the same time, Britain and Canada have also started providing military aid and munitions to Ukraine.
At the same time, Moscow has consistently denied claims it plans to attack Ukraine, insisting it sees NATO military activity near Russian borders as a threat to its national security. According to the news agency, last month Russia made proposals for security guarantees in Europe to the US and NATO, to which there is no response yet.
Let us tell you that the dispute between Ukraine and Russia is not fresh. Until the 1990s, Ukraine was a major part of the former Soviet Union. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, both Ukraine and Russia became sovereign states. This was the period of the Cold War. During this time the tension between the Soviet Union and America was at its peak. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the states separated from it accepted their independent foreign policy. However, even after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, relations between Russia and America were not very cordial. There has been a strain in relations between the two countries.
