Corona in the country: 2.5 lakh new cases in 24 hours, 614 deaths; Kejri said – 82% of Delhi's population vaccinated, restrictions will be removed soon

New corona cases have decreased for the fourth consecutive day in the country. On Monday, 2,55,874 new corona infections were found. During this, 2.67 lakh people were cured, while 614 people have died. There has been a decrease of about 50 thousand (16.39%) in new infections compared to the previous day. At present, the total number of active cases in the country i.e. the number of patients undergoing treatment is 22.36 lakh. The positivity rate was 20.7% on Sunday, which came down to 15.5% on Monday.

 

On Sunday, 3,06,064 new corona infections were found in the country. During this 2.43 lakh people were cured, while 439 people died. At the same time, 3,33,533 new corona infections were found on Saturday. A day before this, 3.37 lakh people were found infected on Friday, and on Thursday 3.47 lakh people were found infected.

 

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Tuesday that we will soon lift the corona restrictions. In Delhi, 100% of people have been given the first dose, and 82% of people have been given the second dose. I think this is a record in the whole country and the world. Booster doses are also being applied very rapidly.

 

He said that today the positivity rate in the capital is around 10%. The positivity rate has come down by 20% in the last 10 days. On January 15, the positivity rate was recorded at 30%. Due to the large number of people being vaccinated, the cases in the capital have come down.

The government has said that the daily cases of Covid will start declining after February 15. According to a report by news agency ANI, after February 15, in some states and metro cities, the cases will decrease and the infection will start stabilizing. Due to vaccination, the effect of the third wave has reduced significantly.

 

The figure for Covid-19 vaccination in the country has crossed 162.77 crores. More than 49 lakh doses of the vaccine were administered till 7 pm on Monday.

 

The Covid-19 protocol will be implemented again in the budget session of Parliament. The proceedings of Rajya Sabha will start at 9 am and Lok Sabha from 4 pm.

1. Karnataka: Positivity rate rises to 32.95%

On Monday, 46,426 new cases of corona have been found in Karnataka. 41,703 patients have defeated Corona, while 32 corona infected have died. At present, the number of patients undergoing treatment here is 3.62 lakh, the positivity rate has increased from 22.78% to 32.95%. Earlier on Sunday, 50,210 new cases of corona had come. 22,842 patients had defeated Corona, while 19 corona infected died. So far, a total of 35.64 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state.

 

2. Tamil Nadu: The pace of new cases stabilizes

30,215 new cases have been reported in the state within 24 hours. At the same time, 24,639 people have been cured of the disease and 46 people have lost their lives. Earlier on Sunday, 30,580 new cases were reported here. 24,283 people were cured of the disease and 40 people lost their lives. So far, a total of 31.33 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 28.95 lakh people have been cured, while 37,218 people have died. The total active cases here are 2,00,954 and the positivity rate is 19.39%.

 

3. Maharashtra: Decrease in new cases

In Maharashtra, 28,286 new cases of Covid-19 were found in the last 24 hours. 36 people died and 21,941 patients were cured. New cases are 12,519 less as compared to Sunday. On Sunday, 40,805 new cases were found in the state. 44 people died and 27,377 patients were cured. Now the total active cases in the state have gone up to 2.99 lakh. So far, a total of 75.35 lakh people have come under the grip of infection. Of these, 70.89 lakh people have been cured, while 1,42,151 people died. The positivity rate is 19.93%.

 

4. Kerala: Positivity rate rises to 47.72%

On Monday, 26,514 new infected have been found in the state, while 30,710 patients have been cured and 13 people died. Earlier on Sunday, 45,449 new infections were found, while 27,961 patients were cured and 38 people died. So far, a total of 56.69 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 53.56 lakh people have been cured, while 51,987 people died. The number of active cases here is 26,0271. The positivity rate has increased from 44.89% to 47.72%.

 

5. Andhra Pradesh: The pace of new cases stabilizes

In the last 24 hours, 14,502 new cases were reported here, while 4,800 people were cured and 7 people died. On Sunday, 14,440 new cases were reported here, while 3,969 people were cured and 4 people died. So far, 21.95 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 20.87 lakh people have been cured, while 14,549 people died. There are 93,305 active cases here. The positivity rate is 36.02%.

1. Gujarat: New cases decreased compared to the previous day

On Monday, 13,805 new cases were reported here, while 13,469 patients were cured and 25 people died. On Sunday, 16,617 new cases were reported in the state, while 11,636 patients were cured and 19 people died. That is, there has been a decrease of about 3,148 in new cases. So far, more than 10.76 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 9.30 lakh people have been cured. The total active cases here are 1,35,148. The positivity rate has been recorded at 13.41%.

 

2. Uttar Pradesh: New cases decreased compared to the previous day

In the last 24 hours, 11,020 people were found infected here. 10,836 people have been cured and 17 deaths have been recorded. Earlier on Sunday, 13,654 people were found infected. 16,521 people were cured and 18 deaths were recorded. So far 19.57 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 18.40 lakh people have been cured, while 23,073 people died. 93,924 patients are currently undergoing treatment in the state.

 

3. Madhya Pradesh: The pace of new cases stabilizes

Here 10,585 new cases were reported in 24 hours and 7,822 people were cured. During this 6 patients have died. A day before this, 11,253 new cases were reported on Sunday and 5,497 people were cured. During this 8 patients had died. So far, more than 9.04 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 8.24 lakh people have been cured, while 10,576 people died. 69,893 patients are currently undergoing treatment. The positivity rate is 13.07%. Earlier it was 13.50%.

 

4. Rajasthan: Big drop in the number of new infected

On Monday, 9,480 new cases were reported here, while 9,397 people were cured and 23 people died. Earlier on Sunday, 14,112 new cases were reported in the state, while 9,884 people were cured and 19 people died. So far, 11.39 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 10.36 lakh people have been cured, while 9,118 people died. There are 93,502 active cases here. The positivity rate is 42.37%. A day before this, the positivity rate was 23.24.

 

5. Haryana: Positivity rate up to 20.45%

In the last 24 hours, 6,007 people were found infected in the state. 11,879 people have been cured and 17 people have died. On Sunday, 7,516 people were found infected here. 7,683 people were cured and 12 people died. So far, more than 9.14 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 8.52 lakh people have been cured, while 10,194 people died. A total of 51864 are currently undergoing treatment. The positivity rate is 18.77% which was 20.45% a day ago.

 

6. Delhi: New cases reduced to 5760

On Monday, 5,760 new cases were registered in Delhi and 30 people died. 14,836 people have also been cured. A day before this, 9,197 new cases were registered on Sunday and 34 people died. 13,510 people were also cured. So far, more than 17.97 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 17.26 lakh have been cured while 25,650 have died. Here the positivity rate is 11.79% which was 13.32% a day ago.

 

7. Punjab: Increased Positivity Rate

In Punjab, 5,697 new infections have been found on the last day and 45 people have died. A day before this, 5,598 were found infected on Sunday and 30 people died. So far 7.19 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 6.56 lakh people have been cured, while 17,023 people died. The active case is 45,645. The positivity rate has increased from 13.28% to 17.86%.

 

8. West Bengal: Number of active cases 94535

On Monday, 4,546 new cases were found in West Bengal. During this, 20,157 patients were cured, while 37 people have died. On Sunday, 6,980 new cases were found here. During this, 20,418 patients were cured, while 36 people have died. A total of 19.69 lakh cases have been found in the state so far, while 18.54 lakh people have recovered. A total of 20,375 people have died. Active cases are 94,535. Here the positivity rate has come down from 9.53% to 8.84%.

 

9. Chhattisgarh: Testing increased, new cases increased

Due to the increase in testing, 4,509 new infections were found in the state on the last day. 5,406 patients were cured and 19 patients died. On Sunday, 3,841 people were found infected in the state. 3,021 patients were cured and 11 patients had died. So far, more than 11 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 10.55 lakh people have been cured, while 13,746 people died. A total of 31,074 patients are currently undergoing treatment. The positivity rate has come down from 14.03% to 9.88%.

 

10. Bihar: New cases decreased

On Monday, 1,821 new infections were found here. 4,829 people were cured and 8 died. On Sunday, 2,768 people were found infected in the state. 4,496 people were cured and 2 had died. So far, more than 8.13 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 7.86 lakh people have been cured, while 12,193 people died. A total of 14,832 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
