President Vladimir Zelensky has given a TV interview from the bunker during a Russian attack in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv. In this interview given to CNN, Zelensky said that we are here to save lives, not to shoot films. The whole world will have to fight against this attack of Putin.

On the question of the ongoing Russia-Ukraine peace talks, Zelensky said that as long as the Russian attack on the cities of Ukraine continues, there is no scope for peace. He said that Ukraine is the heart of Europe and Europe would not want to lose it. Zelensky further said that first of all, you decide what to do next. We are talking to Russia, but if Putin is not agreeing, then it is clear that time is being wasted.

People of Ukraine are iconic - Zelensky

Comedian-turned-President of Ukraine, Zelensky said in response to a question that I am not an icon, the people of Ukraine are an icon. This is a fight to save Ukraine. He said that the Biden administration will have to take a tough and big decision on Russia. On the question of joining NATO, he said that it is for him to decide, we need a guarantee if not NATO. The meaning of the guarantee here is that there will never be an attack on the Russian border.

EU considering membership

EU Vice President Margarita Shinaso said Ukraine's request was correct. Membership will be considered at next week's meeting. Earlier speaking in the EU, Zelensky said that we are fighting a war to protect our native land. We love freedom too. Though our cities have been besieged, our unity cannot be broken by any force, it cannot break into it. He further said that today the European Union will have to prove that they are with the truth, they are with us. It's not just about Ukraine, but it's all about humanity.

the second round of talks today

According to the report of the Russian news agency Tass, the second round of talks for reconciliation between Ukraine and Russia will be held on Wednesday. This dialogue is proposed on the Belarus-Poland border. Earlier on Monday, talks between the two countries went on for five hours. However, the talks ended without any concrete conclusion.
