Controversy has arisen over a statement by superstar Amitabh Bachchan amidst the ongoing controversy over the Bollywood film Pathan. Controversy has started over his statement given on Thursday (December 15) at the Kolkata Film Festival. Amitabh said that many years have passed since the country got independence, but even today questions are being raised on the freedom of the citizen and freedom of speech.

 

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, present in the program, supported Amitabh's talk. He said that Amitabh said such a thing, which no one can say. Here, BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya has said that Amitabh's words cannot be more accurate for any other place than Bengal, because he has talked about freedom in a place where there was maximum bloodshed and violence after the elections.

 

Amitabh had said – cannot take the audience lightly

Amitabh said that we cannot take the audience lightly. The audience has all kinds of content. It is their choice where they want to see it. Amitabh said this at a time when controversy is going on regarding Shah Rukh Khan's film Pathan.

 

Mamta said – Bharat Ratna should be given to Amitabh Bachchan

On the occasion of the inauguration of the 28th edition of the Kolkata International Film Festival, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also reached. Mamta has demanded to give Bharat Ratna to Amitabh Bachchan. He said- Bengal will demand to give Bharat Ratna to Amitabh for his long contribution to Indian cinema.

Shahrukh said- In today's time, a collective narrative is given by social media. I had read somewhere, negativity increases the use of social media. This also increases the commercial value. Such stories serve to distract and divide us. Shahrukh said – Whatever happens, we have to remain positive. Stay away from negative thinking.
