Controversy has arisen over a statement by superstar Amitabh Bachchan amidst the ongoing controversy over the Bollywood film Pathan. Controversy has started over his statement given on Thursday (December 15) at the Kolkata Film Festival. Amitabh said that many years have passed since the country got independence, but even today questions are being raised on the freedom of the citizen and freedom of speech.

 

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, present in the program, supported Amitabh's talk. He said that Amitabh said such a thing, which no one can say. Here, BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya has said that Amitabh's words cannot be more accurate for any other place than Bengal, because he has talked about freedom in a place where there was maximum bloodshed and violence after the elections.
