Three aspirants of the UPSC Civil Services Examination, through a petition, told the Supreme Court that they had qualified for the UPSC 2021 preliminary examination, but later appeared in all the papers of the main examination after being found COVID-19 positive. could not attend. The petitioners are seeking permission to appear in the next main examination or to conduct a special examination of the missed papers for them before declaring the result of the 2021 examination.
The counsel appearing for UPSC told the top court that they need to take directions and keep all aspects on record before taking any decision on the issue. After this, the Supreme Court fixed the matter for hearing on March 21, 2022, and asked all the parties to file affidavits before the next date.
UPSC Civil Services Main Examination was conducted by the Union Public Service Commission from January 7 to 16, 2022.
