The handset carries an IP65 rating, offering protection against dust and water.

On the front, the smartphone features a 6.9-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 1,800 nits.

Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 Processor and HyperOS 3

The Redmi Note 17 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, manufactured using a 4nm process. The processor is paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.

On the software front, the smartphone runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.

Xiaomi has promised four years of Android OS updates and six years of security updates. The handset also includes AI-powered features such as Circle to Search, allowing users to search for information directly from content displayed on the screen.

Redmi Note 17 Packs an 8,000mAh Battery

The biggest highlight of the Redmi Note 17 is its 8,000mAh battery, which is considerably larger than the batteries found in many smartphones in this segment.

The phone supports 45W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging, allowing it to charge other compatible devices.

Xiaomi claims that the battery can retain at least 80% of its original capacity after 1,600 charging cycles, which could help maintain battery performance over an extended period.

For photography, the Redmi Note 17 features a 50-megapixel primary rear camera accompanied by an LED flash.

For selfies and video calls, the smartphone has an 8-megapixel front camera.
