As per the detailed description given in the JEE Main 2022 information booklet by the National Testing Agency, this time JEE Main candidates will not be able to select the exam center based on their choice. Last year, the NTA had given the students the freedom to select the nearest examination center of their choice. But this time the exam center will be allotted based on the address given by the student in the application form. However, last year, amid the Corona transition and restrictions, the NTA had given the students the option to select the examination center, so the minimum distance had to be traveled.

Examination centers will be built in more than 500 cities, 13 abroad too

This year i.e. for 2022, JEE Main exam will be conducted in 501 exam cities of the country and 13 cities abroad. This time examination centers have been set up in 24 cities of Rajasthan including Kota. Aadhar information is also being asked from the students in the application form. At the same time, there will be real-time cross-checking of the photo of the admit card at the examination centers.

Relaxation in Board Exam Eligibility Criteria

According to the notification issued by the NTA, students have been given relaxation in the board exam eligibility criteria for admission in NIT, Triple IT, and GFTI this year also. Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, this concession in board eligibility was being given for the last two years.

The exam will be held in hybrid mode

This time JEE B.Arch exam will be conducted in hybrid mode. Apart from CBT in the Bachelor of Architecture paper, the exam will also have to be taken in pen-paper mode. In this, a total of 82 questions will be asked from Mathematics, Aptitude Test, etc. Also, some questions will have to be solved in pen and paper mode on the A-4 size drawing sheet.

There will be 105 questions in the B planning exam

At the same time, the exam of Bachelor of Planning will be CBT-based. In this, a total of 105 questions will be asked based on Mathematics, Aptitude, and Planning subjects. Each paper will have two sections. Part A will consist of multiple-choice questions and Part B will have questions whose answers are to be filled in numerical value form.

75 questions to be solved for BE and BTech

However, there will be CBT i.e. Computer Based Test for BE and BTech. In this, a total of 90 questions will be asked from the subjects of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Section A will have 20 questions MCQs from Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. In Section B, 10 questions from each subject will be numerical value-based. In Section B, students will have to solve any 05 questions out of 10. Thus, out of 90 questions, 75 questions have to be attempted by the students. Four marks will be awarded for the correct answer and one mark will be deducted for the wrong answer. Whereas till last year there was no negative marking on numerical value-based questions.
