Uttar Pradesh: Girl students of Kasturba Balika Vidyalaya will get vocational training, instructions issued

Yogi Adityanath's government in Uttar Pradesh will help girls become self-reliant by giving them vocational training in schools. The training partners of the Skill Development Mission will be imparted training in relevant trades. This initiative will start in the advanced Kasturba Balika Vidyalayas of the state. On Saturday, Director General of School Education Vijay Kiran Anand issued an order directing Kasturba Balika Vidyalayas to ensure the participation of all girl students in this program.

 

 

The order also states that meetings will be organized to create awareness about the importance of vocational training at the community level. This work will be done with the help of the District School Inspector, Principal and District Coordinator of Skill Development Mission, District Basic Education Officer, and District Girl Child Education Coordinator. According to Rajeev Yadav, Assistant Director, Skill Development Mission, “A total of 54 Kasturba Balika Vidyalayas have been notified. Training will start soon in these schools. The registration process has started. He said that the responsibility of teaching girls under the program is provided to training partners associated with us.

 

 

The press release states that Director General of School Education, Vijay Kiran Anand has issued an order directing these government girls' schools to add 100 percent of their students to the program. The order further states that to create awareness about the importance of vocational training at the community level, meetings will be organized with parents, district school inspectors, principals, DPMUs and district coordinators of the Skill Development Mission, district basic Education officers and district coordinator girl education will also be present.

 

According to the release, the 'Skill Development Mission' is currently running several other programs across the state to provide access to vocational education to girls. A safety kit distribution program is also going on to ensure the safety of women. Under this initiative, special kits will be provided to the girls by experts after 10 days of training. Additionally, as part of a pilot project, vocational training has already begun in some women's residential homes.
