It should be asked to Kohli, not me, why he played that shot as the ball was well outside off-stump. Virat was continuously leaving the ball off the stump. He might have felt that one run was needed to complete the half-century. This is what happens when you are close to a record or achievement.
Gavaskar further said, “It was a bad shot. Kohli must be asked about this. He says that to win the match, long innings or a century is required. How do you play long innings when you play the ball going outside the stumps?
