America kneels before Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe's brilliant performance in the ICC World Cup Qualifier was also seen against America. Captain Sean Williams' bat spoke fiercely in batting, while Sikandar Raza and Ryan Burl also contributed significantly with the bat. Williams played a stormy inning of 174 runs, while Ryan hit 47 runs in just 16 balls. America's batsmen surrendered completely in front of a mountain-like target of 409. America lost wickets at frequent intervals and the entire team was all out after scoring 104 runs. In bowling also, Sikandar Raza took two wickets in his name.

second biggest win

Zimbabwe has tasted the second-biggest win in ODI cricket history in terms of runs. With this, Zimbabwe has become only the second team in the world to win by a margin of more than 300 runs. Team India has registered the biggest win in the 50-over format. The Indian team had beaten Sri Lanka by 317 runs in 2023 itself.

Zimbabwe set up the biggest total

Captain Sean Williams scored a century as Zimbabwe crossed the 400-run mark for the first time in the history of ODI cricket. Batting against America, the Zimbabwe team posted 408 runs losing 6 wickets on the scoreboard. At the same time, Joylord Gumby also contributed 78 runs while batting well. In the last over, while batting in a stormy style, Ryan Burl scored 47 runs in just 16 balls, while Sikandar Raza scored 48 runs in 27 balls.

Touched the figure of 400 for the first time

Zimbabwe's team has crossed the 400-run mark for the first time in the history of ODI cricket. Earlier, the team's highest score in this format was 351, which was scored by Zimbabwe against Kenya in 2009. Playing against Namibia in 2003, Zimbabwe scored 340 runs, which is now the team's third-highest score.
