He said that by Thursday, the mercury in Delhi could touch the level of 44 degrees. Delhi's base station Safdarjung Observatory on Sunday recorded a maximum temperature of 39.5 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal for this time of year. Amidst clear skies, the mercury is expected to cross 40 degrees on Monday and gradually reach 44 degrees Celsius by Thursday.
Chance of rain with dust storm in Himachal and Punjab
