The moisture-laden winds blowing from the Arabian Sea are going to bring relief to the scorching land of North-West India including Delhi. Due to the effect of hailstorms in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand due to the activation of Western Disturbance on the Pakistan border, the maximum temperature of the plains has started coming down and in the next two to three days, there will be relief from the heat wave situation.
When will it rain in Delhi?
The Meteorological Department (IMD) believes that there may be rain in Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi on Saturday and Sunday. This will bring down the temperature suddenly and there will be relief from the scorching heat for a week. During this time, the monsoon is moving at a fast pace, and on Friday it covered all the states of the North-East. Heavy rainfall may continue in this part for the next five days.
The weather started changing in Rajasthan
The Meteorological Department estimates that due to the arrival of monsoon in the southeast and the effect of moisture-laden winds and rain from the Arabian Sea in the northwest, the temperature of the entire country will fall by three to four degrees. Due to the formation of cyclones in the Arabian Sea, the wind carrying the moisture of the sea has started blowing from west to east. Due to this, the mood of the weather in Rajasthan has started changing all of a sudden. On Friday also, north-eastern Rajasthan and western part of Haryana received rain accompanied by thunderstorms.
It may rain in these states
Private agency Skymet has said in its forecast that from Saturday, along with other parts of Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, and western Uttar Pradesh may also receive rain, which will provide relief from the heatwave to this large part of the country which is scorching with intense heat.
Wind is expected to blow at a speed of 40-50 km per hour in Jaipur and Bharatpur areas of Rajasthan adjoining NCR. It may also rain. This will lead to a rapid drop in the surrounding temperature and the north-western part will get complete relief from the heat wave. However, there is a possibility of an increase in temperature after that.
Monsoon is moving at a fast pace
The monsoon, which entered Kerala a day before the IMD forecast, is at its speed. In the next few hours, it completely covered the northeastern states. On Friday, it also reached a large part of Bengal. However, during this time, there has been some decrease in rainfall activity in Kerala, but heavy rains continue in the northeastern states.
Now rains are going to intensify in the coastal areas of Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. This time El Niño is slowly ending and La Niña is coming, which is considered good for rainfall in the Indian continent.
