The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in 16 states today i.e. on 28 September. Light to moderate rain with strong winds may occur over these states. On the other hand, heavy rain warning has been issued in parts of Odisha, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. Apart from this, the weather will remain dry in the states like Delhi, UP, Bihar, Punjab, Haryana, etc. These states will remain cloudy but there is no chance of rain.

According to the Meteorological Department, on Wednesday, September 27, there will be strong winds in some parts of East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra. With light to moderate rain is likely. Along with this, there is a possibility of heavy rain in some states.

The Meteorological Department issued a yellow alert in the eastern region of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday and has also given a warning. There is a possibility of lightning at isolated places in the Rajgarh, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Sagar, Damoh, and Chhatarpur districts of the Narmadapuram, Shahdol, and Jabalpur divisions. According to the meteorologists, the rain activities in the state have started weakening now. It can also be considered a sign of the departure of the monsoon.
