In this bill, changes have been mentioned in the Chancellor and Visitor, etc. of Alia University. After its passage, the governor will no longer be the chancellor of this university. The powers of the Chancellor will now rest with the Chief Minister. Whereas the education minister of the state will be in the role of a visitor.
First snatched the post of the visitor of private universities
According to the information, by getting the bill passed in the West Bengal Assembly, the Trinamool Congress government has given a message to Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar to continue the political fight. Then the education minister of the state had said that if the prime minister can be the chancellor of the central university Vishwa Bharati, then why not the chief minister of the state universities.
