Another shooter involved in the Umesh Pal murder case was killed by the police in an encounter on Monday morning. It is being told that his name was Vijay alias Usman. It was he who fired the first bullet at Umesh Pal and the constable. The shooter injured in the encounter with Crime Branch in Kaundhiyara was sent to Swarooprani Nehru Hospital, where he died.

Deoria's BJP MLA Shalabh Mani Tripathi tweeted about Usman's encounter. The BJP MLA said- "Didn't you say that we will mix it in the soil!! Usman, the dreaded killer who fired the first shot at Umesh Pal and Sandeep Nishad, was also killed in a police encounter today".
