Why did the turnout fall in the Haryana Panchayat elections?: 16% less than last time; 3 big reasons including the Adampur by-election

In Haryana, the voter turnout for 'Gaon ki Sarkar' was only 70%. In the Panchayat elections held in 2015, 86% of voting was done. This time, many political meanings are being taken out of the 16% low voter turnout. The major reason for which Adampur's by-election is also being considered.

The tension among political parties has also increased due to the low turnout in the Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti member elections yesterday. The State Election Commission has also started its review. However, he is hopeful that the voting will increase in the Panch-Sarpanch elections to be held tomorrow.

Adampur by-election: The reason for the low voting in the Panchayat elections is believed to be the Adampur by-election. All the political parties of the state have put their strength into this by-election. Government ministers, MPs, MLAs as well as star campaigners of opposition parties are camping in Adampur itself. Due to his absence from the panchayat election grounds, people also distanced themselves from voting.

Voting did not happen with Panch-Sarpanch: The Election Commission adopted a new strategy in the Panchayat elections. The voting of Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti members and Panch-Sarpanch was fixed on different days. It is believed that people are more interested in voting for Panch-Sarpanch. Since the Panch-Sarpanch was not to be elected in yesterday's voting, the villagers did not show much interest. The question is also arising whether the commission has failed to understand this fact.

Symbol missing from the election: One of the reasons for this was the distance from the party symbol of political parties. Other big parties including the ruling BJP are not fighting the Zilla Parishad elections on the party symbol. Barring a few places, the BJP extended support to the candidates. There is also a reason for this whoever wins, will be easy to tell or associate with him. After contesting the election on the symbol, there would have been a risk for the party. At the same time, he had to answer for this defeat.

In the first phase, the credibility of these giants is at stake.

With the polling for the first phase of Panchayat elections, the credibility of 3 ministers, 7 MPs, and many MLAs of the state is at stake. These stalwarts include Bhiwani MP Dharambir Singh, Cabinet Minister OP Dalal, Jhajjar OP Dhankhar, MP Arvind Sharma, Jind MLA, MP Ramesh Chand Kaushik, Panipat MP Sanjay Bhatia, MLA Pramod Vij, Mahipal Dhanda, Kaithal minister Kamlesh Dhanda, MLA Leela Ram Gurjar, MP Naib Saini, Education Minister Kanwar Pal Gurjar, MP Ratan Lal Kataria are involved.
