Vivo has brought its popular S Series back to India with the launch of the new Vivo S2. The smartphone combines a premium 3D curved AMOLED display, 50MP Sony camera, large 7050mAh battery, MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo processor and a range of AI-powered features. The Vivo S2 is aimed at users looking for a premium-looking mid-range smartphone with strong camera and performance capabilities.
Vivo S2 Display and Design
The Vivo S2 features a 6.83-inch 3D Curved AMOLED display with 1.5K Ultra HD resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. The display can reach a local peak brightness of up to 3000 nits, while symmetrical dual speakers are included for an enhanced multimedia experience.
The smartphone measures just 7.99mm in thickness and weighs around 197 grams. Vivo has also introduced a redesigned camera module as part of the phone's premium design.
Vivo S2 Gets 50MP Sony Camera With 4K Recording
Photography is one of the key highlights of the Vivo S2. The smartphone comes with a 50MP Sony primary rear camera paired with a 32MP front camera.
Both the front and rear cameras support 4K video recording. The phone also features Dual Video View, allowing users to record video simultaneously from the front and rear cameras.
The Vivo S2 offers several camera modes, including Night, Portrait, Panorama, Ultra HD Document, Time-lapse, Slow-mo, Supermoon, Pro and Food. AI Erase 2.0 is also available to help users remove unwanted elements from images.
7050mAh Battery and Dimensity 7360 Turbo Processor
The Vivo S2 packs a substantial 7050mAh battery with support for 44W FlashCharge. Vivo has also included a Battery Life Extender feature designed to help maintain long-term battery health.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo processor, which is based on a 4nm manufacturing process. Vivo claims that the device can achieve an AnTuTu score of up to 9.7 lakh.
For sustained performance, particularly during gaming and extended usage, the Vivo S2 features an expanded cooling area for improved thermal management.
IP68 and IP69 Ratings for Durability
The Vivo S2 combines its slim design with enhanced durability. The smartphone comes with IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, along with military-grade durability.
These ratings are designed to provide additional protection against dust, water and everyday environmental conditions.
Vivo S2 Runs OriginOS 6 Based on Android 16
On the software front, the Vivo S2 runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. The smartphone comes with several AI-powered tools designed to improve productivity and everyday smartphone use.
Key AI and smart features include AI Creation, AI Caption, Circle to Search, Google Gemini, AI Smart Call Assistant, Shake and Share, Origin Island and Vivo Office Kit.
The AI tools can assist with tasks such as writing and summarising content, translating text, transcribing calls and syncing the smartphone with a computer.

The smartphone will go on sale in India from August 11, 2026. It will be available in Silk White, Sapphire Blue and Regal Bronze colour options.
