Why is Sachin Pilot angry at Gehlot? When will the confrontation of Ego stop and will the Congress government of Rajasthan survive?

Jaipur. A year and a half old Congress government in Madhya Pradesh was overthrown in Madhya Pradesh before the lockdown to control Corona. Jyotiraditya Scindia became the face of rebellion in Congress. Now a similar situation has arisen in Rajasthan. After the chaos that lasted from Saturday to Monday, it is clear that at present there is no crisis on the government. But analysts feel that Aham's confrontation is not going to calm down soon.

Why is Sachin Pilot angry?

Rajasthan Deputy CM Sachin Pilot was sent a notice by the Rajasthan Police's Special Operations Group (SOG) on Friday evening. In Rajasthan, the police department works directly under Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. This notice went viral on social media. This made Sachin Pilot angry.

Interestingly, Gehlot also has a home department. Moreover, he and some other independent legislators have also received notice of SOG. Gehlot himself tweeted that the notice has been sent to record the statement. In this case, nothing more should be understood.

However, the pilot and his supporters erupted as soon as he got the summons. SOG has arrested two BJP leaders in this case. In their taped conversation here, it was allegedly said that 'CM and Deputy CM are fighting'. Moreover, it was also said that 'Deputy CM only wants to become CM'.

Ashok Gehlot alleges that the BJP is plotting to destabilize his government. For this, 20-25 crore rupees are being given to each MLA. However, BJP central and state leaders are refuting these allegations. The entire incident is being described as factionalism of the Congress.

Why did the pilot avoid the meeting?

The Rajasthan government has become unstable since the notice was issued to the pilot on Friday. Since then Ashok Gehlot became active to save his government. He called a meeting of all-party MLAs first at his home on Sunday and then the Congress Legislature Party meeting on Monday.

However, Pilot and his supporting legislators neither attended the meeting of all-party MLAs nor the Congress Legislature Party meeting on Monday. The central leadership of the Congress was also activated on Saturday on rapidly changing political developments. Leaders like Randeep Surjewala and Ajay Maken were also present at Monday's meeting.

According to claims made at different times, there are currently 10 to 30 MLAs with the pilot. Pilot supporters claimed that 18 MLAs distanced themselves from the Legislature Party meeting. However, Gehlot's media adviser said that 102 of the party's 107 MLAs were present at the meeting.

Sachin Pilot claimed on Sunday evening that 30 Congress MLAs are in his support. The state's Gehlot government is in the minority. The pilot also clarified the estrangement from the Chief Minister. However, Rajasthan Congress in-charge Avinash Pandey claimed that we have letters of support from 109 MLAs.

... so can Pilot join BJP?

it does not seem so. Pilot himself has said that he is not going to join BJP. Meanwhile, discussions also arose that they could announce a new party. In this way, a third front can be formed in the state. There is a possibility of forming a third front in the name of the 'Progressive Congress'.

However, it is being said that the BJP tried to break Sachin Pilot on three occasions. In Madhya Pradesh, Jafar Islam Pilot who brought Jyotiraditya Scindia to BJP is in touch. He is giving updates to the BJP high command regarding all political multiplication.

The full name of Zafar Islam is Dr. Syed Zafar Islam. He is an outspoken and moderate Muslim face of the BJP. His career in BJP is just 7 years old, but his stature has grown rapidly. Zafar is a well-known face for the media as a BJP spokesperson. Before joining politics, he was MD of Deutsche Bank and was abroad.

Sources say that Pilot was also approached by the BJP when Scindia rebelled and separated from the Congress. The BJP had offered Pilot the post of Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. However, the pilot refused.

After this, before the Rajya Sabha elections, the BJP tried to put Pilot in its court. Even then the matter could not be made. The pilots were unable to muster proper numbers. Even at that time, the Congress had to keep its MLAs in a hotel enclosure. Now, this is the third time that there is talk of his joining the BJP.

... will Gehlot and Pilot reconcile?

Efforts are underway from the central leadership. Randeep Surjewala said that if there is any kind of estrangement, then you can talk to the party president and the high command. Sachin Pilot can present his case in front of the party in-charge of Avinash Pandey. Pilots can also tell the time of arrival in Jaipur. They will be waiting at the meeting.

Reports said that the central leadership including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul-Priyanka wants to end the dispute in Rajasthan as soon as possible. The party has suffered the delay and inaction of reading the situation in Madhya Pradesh. Even in Rajasthan, the party does not want to let its government fall.

At present, the battle of Gehlot-Pilot is said to be entirely focused on the notice. But the matter is not limited to this. Pilot is also currently the Rajasthan Congress President. He is being pressured to leave this post. In such a situation, he wants that someone close to him gets the chair of the state president.

Between the two, the problem started only in the 2018 assembly elections. Pilot won as state party president, but Ashok Gehlot was made the chief minister. After that, both of them have targeted each other many times without naming each other.

Earlier, Gehlot did not give importance to the pilot in the reshuffle of IAS and IPS officers. His supporters say that except for the IAS and IPS, the block development officer was not found to his liking. There is a discussion in the state's administrative corridors that pilots are not made up of officers of their department.

On the issue of the death of 107 children in a government hospital in Kota, the pilot had put his government in the dock. Not only this, he kept raising the issue again and again that the meetings of the coordination committee formed to eradicate differences between Gehlot and him are being deferred. This committee was formed by Sonia Gandhi, the interim president of the Congress.

... what will happen to the Rajasthan government next?

Sachin Pilot claims that he has more than 30 MLAs in contact. If this is true, Gehlot Sarkara will come in a minority. If 30 of the 107 Congress MLAs resign, the number of MLAs in the House will be 170. In such a situation, 86 MLAs will be needed for a majority.

After the resignation of 30 MLAs, the Congress will have 77 MLAs. The RLD MLA is already with him. The total number of Congress will be 78. That is 8 less than the majority. On the other hand, the BJP has 75 MLAs including 3 RLP MLAs. The BJP will have to break independents to form the government. At present, there are 10 Congress supporters among the 13 Independents of the state. If the BJP can make 8 MLAs in its favor, then the government can form.

If you look at the party position in Rajasthan Assembly, the Congress has 107 MLAs. The government also has the support of 10 independents out of 13 and one National Lok Dal MLA. Hence Gehlot has the support of 118 MLAs. On the other hand, BJP has 72 MLAs. A minimum of 29 MLAs is required to get a majority.

Apart from Pilot's claim, 15 Congress MLAs are likely to be in his camp so far. If all these MLAs resign then the number of MLAs in the House will be 185. The figure needed for a majority would reach 93. In the current equation, the Gehlot faction has 92 Congress MLAs. An RLD MLA is with him and if some independents are with Gehlot, the government will be safe.

What was the result of the day's uproar on Monday?

On Monday, state tax vice president and owner of Amrapali jewelry firm Rajeev Arora and Congress leader Dharmendra Rathore were raided in Income Tax. Action was taken at 24 locations of these two leaders in Rajasthan, Delhi and Maharashtra. Both leaders are extremely close to Gehlot. He looks after the election management and funding of the party.

The ED also raided Hotel Fair Mount in Kukas near Jaipur. The hotel is close to Ashok Gehlot's son Vaibhav Gehlot. Raid was fired at the apartment in Jaipur of Dharmendra Rathod, the former chairman of Seed Corporation. The Income Tax team reached Rathore's residence. According to sources, these raids have been killed over complaints of tax evasion.

Politics started on these raids amid efforts to bring down the government in Rajasthan. Congress said that the BJP was adopting the wrong methods. Randeep Surjewala alleged that every time investigation agencies are forwarded by the BJP. Since morning, efforts are being made to intimidate the Congress colleagues by conducting raids in this manner.
