On Monday, doctors in many cities of the country went on strike and staged protests against the rape and murder of a junior female resident doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College.

In the capital Delhi, resident doctors sat on the road outside the Nirman Bhavan, the office of the Union Health Ministry, with an OPD and appealed for justice to the victim's family. Due to the strike for several days, health services have been halted in most places and patients are suffering.

Demand for bringing an ordinance

Doctors will not go to OPD duty

He said that a meeting was held with the officials of the Health Ministry, but no significant result was achieved.

Patients' problems increased in Bihar

The strike of junior resident doctors in Bihar is taking a toll on patients. Due to the closure of OPD, the problems of patients undergoing surgery and those undergoing treatment for kidney cancer, etc. have increased. The OPDs of big hospitals like AIIMS Patna, IGIMS, PMCH, and NMCH were not even opened.
