'Women are not child-producing factories': Himanta Biswa Sarma appeals to Muslim women - give birth to only two children

Posted on 6th Dec 2022 01:59 pm by rohit kumar

The Chief Minister of Assam has hit back at All-Union United Democratic Front (AIUDF) President Maulana Badruddin Ajmal's controversial remarks against Hindus. Himanta Biswa Sarma said – Women are not machines to produce children. Ajmal is making such statements just to please a section for the vote bank.

Himanta Biswa Sarma said that Badruddin Ajmal had said that women should keep producing more and more children, but I say that if women give birth to more children, Ajmal should take care of the children till they grow up and take care of them.

Appeal to have two children

CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said- 'I want to tell my Muslim sisters not to listen to Badruddin. Don't have more than two children. If a woman gives birth to many children, it will affect her physically, not only that it will affect our society as well and Assam will be devastated.

AJP, Trinamool, and BJP complained

The Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) has lodged complaints against Dhubri MP Badruddin in different parts of the state, while the youth wing of the Trinamool Congress also gave a written statement to the police in the matter on Saturday. BJP has also filed a complaint in this matter.

Ajmal gave this controversial statement

On Friday, Ajmal said – Hindus should adopt the formula of Muslims in the matter of children. Children should be married at an early age. Muslim youths marry at the age of 20 to 22 and Muslim women at the age of 18, which is constitutional. Hindus keep one, two, or three illegitimate wives before marriage. They do not give birth to children, enjoy themselves, and save money.

Said on love jihad - take our girls

Ajmal said- The Chief Minister is one of the top leaders of the country today. So who's stopping them? You also do 'love jihad' and take away our Muslim girls. We will welcome it and will not even fight. In a roadshow in Delhi before the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections, CM Sarma said – India does not need a person like Aftab, but a person like Lord Ram, a leader like Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Badruddin apologized when the controversy escalated

All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) chief and MP Badruddin Ajmal have apologized for his statement about Hindus. He said- If my words have hurt someone's feelings, then I take back my words. I had no intention of hurting anyone's sentiments. All I want is that the government should do justice to minorities and give them education and employment.

Smriti also protested

Many big leaders including BJP leader Smriti Irani launched a scathing attack on Ajmal after his statement. Irani said that the girl may belong to any religion. This type of comment is not correct. If Ajmal is insulting the daughter of his religion in this way, then it is a matter to think about.

Giriraj Singh said - People like Badruddin should not give us advice

Union Minister and BJP leader Giriraj Singh said that people like Badruddin and Owaisi should not give us advice. Love has always been worshiped in Sanatan Dharma. The symbol of this is that our ancestor King Sagar had sixty thousand sons, while Krishna had 16,000 girlfriends and wives. Today there are only those Muslims in India, who were not respected by the Mughals during the Mughal period.

'Go and make such a statement in Bangladesh'

Targeting Ajmal, BJP MLA from Assam Digant Kalita said – You are Muslim and we are Hindus. Do we have to learn from you? This is the land of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita. Bangladeshi people have no place here. If you want to make such a statement, then go to Bangladesh.

BJP spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill said that he is making such statements to remain in the limelight. At the same time, UP Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak said that such rhetoric will not be accepted at all.
