World media reaction on Udaipur incident: Turkish website said - against killing Islam, NYT wrote - religious unrest in India

The murder of Kanhaiyalal by Islamic fundamentalists in Udaipur, Rajasthan, remains in the headlines of the world's media. UN chief Antonio Guterres has also stated the incident. British news website Daily Mail wrote – Two Islamic fundamentalists in Rajasthan beheaded a tailor after sharing a post on social media. Both of them entered the shop of a tailor named Kanhaiyalal in the Udaipur market and attacked him.

 

The killers have also made a video of this entire incident. In this video, Kanhaiyalal is heard pleading to be spared from them. Later, both of them came online and claimed responsibility for the attack and named themselves Mohammad Riyaz Ansari and Ghaus Mohammad.

 

This murder is against Islam

 

Turkish website Delisbah called the killing against Islam. Delish wrote that Muslim organizations and leaders of India termed the killing of a Hindu in Rajasthan as an insult to humanity and defaming Islam. Maulana Madani, president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, strongly condemned the murder and said – this incident is a big challenge for the law agencies of the country.

 

 

Rising religious tension in India

 

American news website CNN wrote that the killing of a Hindu by two Muslim attackers is increasing religious tension. Authorities in Rajasthan's Udaipur blocked the internet to prevent the video of the incident from going viral on social media. After which there was widespread tension in the country.

 

In the video of the incident, two people were seen attacking the victim. Later both of them claim that they have killed a Hindu man. State police said the victim had wounds all over his body, but he was not beheaded.

The New York Times wrote in its headline – Religious unrest spread in India with the murder of a Hindu man. The newspaper then said, "On Tuesday, two Muslims killed a Hindu man in Rajasthan because they believed he had insulted the Prophet, Muhammad." Seeing the tension rising, the authorities shut down the internet in the state.

 

Threats to kill PM Modi too

 

UAE newspaper Khaleej Times wrote mobile internet service was banned after the murder in Udaipur. The newspaper quoted PTI as saying that a tailor named Kanhaiyalal was murdered inside the shop on Tuesday in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

 

The attackers also made a video of the entire incident. Later both the attackers claimed responsibility for the murder and threatened to kill Prime Minister Narendra Modi similarly.
