Nupur Sharma has been strongly reprimanded by the Supreme Court for her controversial statement on the Prophet. The court has asked him to apologize to the country. Senior advocate Maninder Singh, appearing for Nupur Sharma, told the court that he has apologized for the statement and has withdrawn it. On this, the court said – he should have apologized to the country by going on TV. The court says that his statement is responsible for the unfortunate incident in Udaipur.
