Nupur Sharma, suspended from BJP, had approached the Supreme Court. He has demanded that all the cases registered against him in different states should be transferred to Delhi.
This court said that he should apologize to the country on TV and take back his statement. Many cases are registered against Nupur Sharma from Delhi, Kolkata, Bihar to Pune. In the petition, Nupur had said that she is constantly receiving death threats from different states.
Senior advocate Maninder Singh, appearing for Nupur Sharma, told the court that he has apologized for the statement and has withdrawn it. On this, the court said – he should have apologized to the country by going on TV. The court says that his statement is responsible for the unfortunate incident in Udaipur.
