The e-auction of BJP MP Sunny Deol's Juhu bungalow has been put on hold by the Bank of Baroda. Now the controversy is getting deeper on this. The Congress, on withdrawing the auction notice, asked what instigated the 'technical reasons' to withdraw it.
ban on bungalow auction
Significantly, Sunny Deol's luxurious bungalow in Juhu, Mumbai was to be auctioned by the Bank of Baroda to recover a loan of Rs 56 crore. However, on Monday morning i.e. today Bank of Baroda issued a notice, stating that the notice to sell the Jahu bungalow of Ajay Singh Deol alias Sunny Deol has been withdrawn due to technical reasons. Which means the bungalow will no longer be auctioned.
attack of congress
Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said yesterday afternoon the country came to know that Bank of Baroda has put BJP MP Sunny Deol's Juhu residence up for e-auction as he has not paid Rs 56 crore. He said that not even 24 hours have passed and the country is getting to know that Bank of Baroda has withdrawn the auction notice due to technical reasons. He said that it is a wonder what triggered these 'technical reasons'?
In discussion for film and bungalow
Bank of Baroda had blocked the property owned by the actor to recover Rs 56 crore through an e-auction to be held on August 25. Gurdaspur MP and Bollywood actor's recently released film Gadar- 2 has been successful at the box office. It has collected over Rs 300 crore since its release last week.
Bank of Baroda had on Sunday announced that it will auction Deol's Juhu villa to recover the loan given to the actor. According to the bank, the loan amount including interest is Rs 56 crore. However, media reports on Monday said that the auction notice for the bungalow has been withdrawn. The actor, officially known as Ajay Singh Dharmendra Deol, has been representing the ruling BJP from the Punjab seat since 2019.
