Wagner Rebellion in Russia updates: Before rebelling against Russia, the leader of the Wagner group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, claimed that the Russian army deliberately attacked his army. Prigozhin is demanding justice and has declared a rebellion.

According to a report in The Conversation, the ongoing rivalry between the Wagner Group and the Russian military is not uncommon. Since the start of the Russia–Ukraine war, the two groups have made numerous derogatory comments and hostile actions against each other. Relations between the Wagner Group and the Russian military broke down soon after the war in Ukraine broke out. Before the conflict, the Wagner Group greatly advanced the interests of the Russian state in an unofficial capacity.

Wagner group helped Russia a lot

Russia used the Wagner Group to annex Crimea in 2014. Russia's use of the Wagner Group in the Donbass region of eastern Ukraine in 2014 has also allowed the Russian military to deny involvement.

The Wagner Group and the Russian Army's domains supported the other's objectives. The Russia–Ukraine War changed the dynamics between the two groups. The Russian army hoped for a military victory in Ukraine. But, from the beginning of the conflict, Russia faced many setbacks. Because of this, Russia was forced to deploy the Wagner Group.

The Wagner Group was instrumental in many of Russia's early successes.

Russia's deployment of the Wagner Group helped stabilize its operations in Ukraine. In 2022, the Wagner Group had a more highly trained force than the Russian army. The soldiers of the Wagner group had a hand in many of Russia's early successes. Ramzan Kadyrov, the Chechen leader who commands the 12,000-strong paramilitary group, has also previously noted problems between his army and the Russian military.
