Pink Autos launched for Women in Gurgaon

Gurgaon, Jan 19 (IANS) The Haryana Police Monday launched pink auto-rickshaws meant exclusively for women, a senior police officer said.

Joint Commissioner of Police Saurabh Singh launched the 25 pink auto-rickshaws.

The police said that this service aims to boost security for women in the city.

The drivers of these pink autos have been thoroughly verified by the police authorities.

Women accompanied by a male colleague or family member can also avail this service.

The service would be extended on demand, police said.

The auto service will be available at Huda city centre metro station in sec 29.
