PM Modi Nepal Visit: PM Modi leaves for Nepal, and will offer prayers at Maya Devi temple in Lumbini

PM Narendra Modi will visit Nepal today on the occasion of Buddha Purnima. Modi will visit Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha. Modi will also hold a meeting with Nepal's Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. The two leaders are expected to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in many areas such as development, hydropower, and connectivity. Let us tell you that this is Modi's fifth visit to Nepal after becoming the PM in the year 2014. It is being told that the PM will reach Nepal at 10 am and will return in the evening.

 

Will lay the foundation stone of the Buddhist Culture and Heritage Center

 

PM Modi will also participate in the ceremony organized to lay the foundation stone of the Buddhist Culture and Heritage Centre. Modi will also offer prayers at the Mayadevi temple in Lumbini. The Prime Minister will also address the Buddha Jayanti program organized by the Lumbini Development Trust under the aegis of the Government of Nepal, a press release said. Thousands of people will attend the program.

 

PM left for Kushinagar

 

Before PM Lumbini, he will stay in Kushinagar, UP. The PM has left for Kushinagar from Delhi airport. His plane will reach Kushinagar International Airport in a while. Modi will leave for Lumbini by Air Force helicopter in Kushinagar.

 

PM Deuba took stock of the preparations

 

The Nepal government is alert about PM Modi's visit, because of the program, all the temples here have been taken over by the SPG and Nepal Armed Police Force. Nepal's Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba reached Lumbini with his ministers last evening. PM Deuba took stock of the preparations. The PM has instructed the officials to beef up the security. The officials have also reported on the preparations and security of the PM's visit.

 

What did PM Modi say before the Nepal tour?

 

Before his visit, PM Modi said that our relationship with Nepal is unique. The civilizational and people-to-people ties between the two countries stand on the enduring edifice of our close ties. The purpose of my visit is to further strengthen these time-tested ties that have been nurtured over the centuries and are recorded in our long history of interaction.

 

Modi will also come back to Lucknow

 

PM Modi will return from Nepal to Kushinagar and worship Buddha at Mahaparinirvansthali. After 30 minutes of stay, we will leave for Lucknow at around 5 pm. PM will hold a meeting with UP ministers at Chief Minister's residence in Lucknow. The Prime Minister will teach the lessons of good governance to the ministers of the state.
