Cleaner dies in custody: Police stop Priyanka Gandhi from going to Agra, detained

Once the political atmosphere in UP seems to be heating up regarding the death in police custody of the sweeper Arun Kumar, who was caught on suspicion of stealing Rs 25 lakh from the Malkhana of Jagdishpura police station in Agra. The police stopped Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, who was going to meet the victim's family, on the Agra-Lucknow highway. On this, Priyanka was taken into custody by the police after pushing and arguing with Congress workers for a long time. Congress is furious at the UP government due to its leader being stopped and detained. On the other hand, Priyanka has said that she will go to Agra to meet the victim's family.

 

Talking to the media, Congress leader Pramod Krishna said that this is the dictatorship of the government. The police are stopping Priyanka Gandhi from meeting the victim's family on the above gesture. He said that the government is afraid of Priyanka Gandhi and Congress, but Congress is not going to stop anyone. On the other hand, SP National President Akhilesh Yadav has also surrounded the government over the death in police custody in Agra. He said that the police themselves first got themselves robbed in the makhana and then blamed the Dalit sweeper. In Yogi Raj, the policemen themselves are committing crimes. On the other hand, the victim's family and the local people of Valmiki Samaj did not celebrate Valmiki Jayanti today in protest against this incident. The family has demanded a compensation of Rs 1 crore from the government and a government job. Along with this, it has been said that strict action should be taken against the guilty policemen.

 

According to the information received, Priyanka Gandhi has been stopped by the police citing Section 144. When stopped, Priyanka also clashed with the police. Its video also appeared on Facebook Live. It is worth mentioning that the police had detained the sweeper Arun on the suspicion of stealing Rs 25 lakh from the Malkhana of Jagdishpura police station. The sanitation worker died in police custody on Tuesday night. The incident has stunned the police. Arun was a resident of the Lohamandi area. Because of the apprehension of ruckus, the police station has been converted into a police cantonment. Inspectors who have lived here in the past have also been called from the surrounding districts.

 

On Saturday night, Rs 25 lakh was stolen by breaking the doors in the Malkhana of Jagdishpura police station. Six policemen, including Inspector Anoop Kumar Tiwari, were suspended after learning about the incident on Sunday morning. On Tuesday, the police caught the sweeper from the Tajganj area. After interrogating him, the police had recovered more than ten lakh rupees. After this, the interrogation was being done to recover more Rs. The condition of the sweeper deteriorated in police custody late at night. After this, the police admitted him to the hospital. Here the doctors declared him brought dead. Due to the apprehension that there may be a ruckus on this incident in the morning, a police force has been deployed at the police station.
