There seems to be no end to the corona infection at the moment. With the arrival of the new variant, Corona has caused havoc in those small countries of the world, which were less affected in the initial three waves. These include countries like South Korea, Vietnam, and Japan. If we look at the new number of infected people, every day 11 to 14 lakh patients are being found in the world. At the same time, 3-4 thousand patients are dying.

The condition of South Korea is worst. More than two lakh cases are being reported here every day for the last four days. Germany is number two, France at third and Italy at fourth. In Germany, about two lakh people are coming out infected every day. In France, 1.50 to 1.70 lakh people, and in Italy 60 to 80 thousand people are getting infected every day. Australia is at number five in terms of getting the maximum number of corona cases every day. Here 50 to 70 thousand cases are being found daily.

South Korea becomes a new hotspot

Corona started in China. The city of Wuhan in China was the first hotspot of infection in late 2019. After this, it spread and reached the rest of the countries of the world. Countries like Italy, America, and Brazil were affected more. After this, it caused havoc in India.

Now South Korea has become the new hotspot of Corona. So far 1.49 crore people have come under the grip of infection. Of these, 18,754 people have died. The South Korean government has not yet released the number of people who have recovered. With this, the situation in Germany, France, Vietnam, and Thailand is also becoming increasingly frightening.

A new variant has arrived in the world

Now a new variant of Corona XE has arrived in the world. The World Health Organization (WHO) has called it a hybrid strain of two Omicron sub-variants - BA.1 and BA.2. The first case of the XE variant was detected in the UK on 19 January. After this, the WHO also issued a warning regarding the XE variant. According to WHO, this new variant is 10 times more infectious than BA.2. This variant has also been found in France, Denmark, and Belgium.

49 crore infected in the world so far, 61 lakh died

So far 49.66 crore people have been infected with a corona in the world. Out of these, 61.95 lakh people have died. 43.23 crore people have been cured. 5.81 crore people are still infected. In India, 4.30 crore people have come under the grip of infection. Of these, 4.25 crore people were cured, while 5.21 lakh people died. There are 11 thousand 461 active cases in the country at present. That means they are still undergoing treatment.
