
The arrest of members of the banned organization Popular Front of India (PFI) is still going on. Assam Police arrested three PFI members from the Nagarbera area of Kamrup district on Friday morning. Along with this, another person associated with PFI has also been taken into custody. This information has been given by the news agency ANI quoting SP Hitesh Ray.
NIA conducted raids last month
Last month, ten leaders of the Popular Front of India (PFI) were arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in joint raids with the Assam Police in several parts of the state.
These big leaders associated with PFI were arrested
The arrested people were identified as Aminul Haque, Abdul Razzaq, Robiul Hussain, Nazrul Islam Bhuyan, Rafikul Islam, Abu Sama Ahmed, Farhad Ali, Khalilur Rehman, Mufti Rahmatullah, and Bajlul Karim. All these PFI leaders were arrested in raids in Guwahati, Nagarbera, Samguri, Barpeta, Karimganj, and Baksa.
Arrested people got this big responsibility from PFI
Of these arrested Aminul Haque is the Northeast Regional Secretary of PFI. Abu Sama Ahmed is the president of the organization's Assam unit. Robiul Hussain is the general secretary of the state unit. Those arrested include Rafikul Islam and Mufti Rahmatullah, district president of PFI's Nagaon and Barpeta units.
