Gurgaon, Feb 20 (IANS) Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi said that the youth has to create a new variant of 3D (three-dimension) within their minds for India's development - Dream, Discover and Do.
Satyarthi was Friday conferred with a honoary doctorate in science by Amity University for his extraordinary and far-sighted commitment to end child slavery.
During his acceptance speech, which happened via a video conference at Amity's Manesar campus here, Satyarthi expressed his gratitude for the honour bestowed upon him.
Encouraging the graduates to contribute towards the development of the nation, he said that the youth has to create a new variant of 3D wherein the first D represents dream - a dream to make India developed in the field of economy, knowledge and morality.
The second D is discover - to identify the power within yourself and the third D is do - to do things immediately.
He added that when an individual dreams about his career then his/her reach is limited but when a person dreams about the development of nation then his/her personality is enhanced, and the person achieves great success.
Satyarthi said that there is a need for democratisation of knowledge, economy and moral values, which would make India a superpower.
He congratulated the graduates for their accomplishment and wished them success for their careers.
