Apart from Covaccine and Covishield now in India, Russia's developed Sputnik V vaccine will also soon be available to the public in the hospital. At present, it is being started in two hospitals of Delhi, Fortis, and Apollo. Sputnik is the first vaccine to come in the world of the coronavirus. About 57 countries of the world have approved Sputnik V. It simply means that many countries of the world have expressed their trust in it. Whereas in countries like India, it is better in many respects.

Its production has also been allowed in India including the Republic of Korea, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Italy, Egypt, China, Brazil, and Argentina. Apart from this, Argentina, Egypt, India, Serbia, and Kazakhstan have also placed orders for its supply to Russia. Apart from these, 19 countries have placed orders for Sputnik V in Russia. China, Italy are the only two countries where they will be produced only and then from here they will be supplied to other places.

While 10 million doses of vaccine will be produced in Italy, 260 million doses of vaccine are to be produced in China. Talking about India, it has ordered about the same dose to Russia, but about four times more vaccine doses will be produced in India. 23 countries including India have ordered the supply of this vaccine from Russia.

On 11 August 2020, for the first time, Russian President Vladimir Putin informed the world about the passing of Sputnik-V from the country's health regulator. This was the first vaccine in the world that was allowed in this way. Initially, a lot of questions were raised about its trial, but Russia had declared its vaccine completely safe, ignoring all the things.

In the initial results of its third phase in February 2021, it was said to be more than 91 percent effective. This report was also published in the Lancet. This vaccine has been developed by the Gamalia National Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, which works on Ebola and MERS. It is also cheaper than other corona vaccines and this is the reason why it is also fit in the budget of many countries.

Its maintenance is also much easier than the vaccines of Oxford and AstraZeneca. It can be easily stored in the refrigerator for home use, whereas the vaccines of Oxford and AstraZeneca have to be kept in special refrigerators at very low temperatures. When taken out of the fridge, it can only stay true for about ten seconds, otherwise, it may go bad.

A major reason for the move to Sputnik V was its supply. While many vaccines were expressing their inability to supply it to many countries of the world, Sputnik was fully prepared for it. Oxford and AstraZeneca's vaccines were refused use by some countries due to blood clotting.
