NASA is already aware of future threats

Significantly, NASA's Sentry system already monitors such threats. There are currently 22 such meteor bodies that have little chance of hitting the Earth for the next 100 years. The first and largest meteor body in this list is 29075 (1950 DA), which is not going to come towards Earth till 2880. Its size is three times more than the Empire State Building of America.
