Transformers Rise Of The Beasts Review: The flight of imagination in Hollywood cinema has attained escape velocity and reached the depths of space many years ago. The dwelling of different species on fictional planets inside space and stories of exciting battles have been entertaining the inhabitants of the Earth.

Sometimes humans go to these planets and create mischief, and sometimes the misguided inhabitants of these planets threaten to destroy the Earth. Most of these stories sound similar, but what changes the perspective of watching them is their characters and the background of the story.

Hero and villain emerged from the depths of space

Franchises like Star Wars, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Avatar have created a special place in the hearts of audiences across the world. The heroes and villains of Marvel's Avengers and other superhero movies also come and go from the depths of space. Most of them are of human shape. Some creatures look like animals.

The Transformers TV series in the mid-eighties gave this space fantasy a completely different form. The animated show envisioned giant Autobots and Decepticons made from auto parts.

The Autobots are good and the Decepticons are bad, disguised as cars and trucks. The show was developed as part of the Transformers franchise by American producer-director Michael Bay. The first film 'Transformers' came in 2007. After directing 5 films of this franchise, Michael Bay plays the role of producer.

The sixth film of the franchise, 'Bumblebee' (Bumbulbee) came in 2018, which is a spin-off of Bumblebee Autobot, a character of this franchise. Now the seventh film 'Rise of the Beasts' is being released.

What is the story of Rise of the Beasts?

The film is a direct sequel to 'Bumblebee' and takes place before the first film in the series, 'Transformers'. The story is set in 1994. The battle between good and evil. Some are heroes, some are villains. The villain wants to end the world. A device is needed to save it.

The heroes of the story of 'Rise of the Beasts' are the Autobots, whose leader is Optimus Prime. The villain is the Unicorn, who is busy swallowing all the planets in the universe. The fight is joined this time by the Maximals, who live on an unknown planet.

The main character is Noah Diaz, a military veteran. Noah is struggling financially to help support his mother and ailing younger brother. Fed up, one day he steals a very old Porsche car, but it is a transformer. This sequence might remind you of the first Transformers.

In another sequence, researcher Elena Wallace accidentally activates the Trans Wrap Key at the museum. Noah and Elena then join forces with the Autobots to stop the Unicorn.

How is the screenplay of Rise of the Beasts?

Darnell Metaire, Josh Peters, and Erich Hoyber wrote the screenplay from a story by Joby Harold. The story of 'Rise of the Beasts' is predictable and there is nothing that surprises the viewer, but the film's tremendous action and VFX, do not let the thrill subside. The biggest feature of all the films Transformers has been action.

Director Steven Capil Jr. has tried his best to weave human emotion into this war story with success. This effort is also visible in the scenes, but due to lack of depth, it does not seem effective. It can be said that due to the high action, there was no time to raise the emotion.

Technically, 'Rise of the Beasts' is a great film, but it lacks the emotion of the first film in this franchise. However, the films that followed could not create the same impact. The pairing of Shaya Labaf and Megan Fox provided a great relief of romance and comedy amidst the constant action of the film.

The problem with franchise films also comes in how to innovate the story. New characters have been added to 'Rise of the Beasts' that pique the interest. 'Transformers - Rise of the Beasts' is one of those films, which its fans will enjoy fiercely.
