200 Crore Covid Vaccine dose: PM Modi wrote a letter to health workers, congratulated for the historic achievement

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated all the health workers on reaching 200 crores of the vaccination campaign against the corona epidemic. Actually, on July 17, the country had set a record of giving 200 crore corona vaccine doses. The vaccination campaign started in the country on 16 January 2021. The country has achieved this feat in just 18 months. After this, India has become the second country in the world, which has administered 200 doses of the corona vaccine to its population. China is ahead of India in this matter.

 

How did corona vaccination proceed in the country?

 

Exactly 18 months ago, on 16 January 2021, the use of the biggest weapon in the war against Corona started in the country. Vaccination started in the country. First of all, the vaccination of front-line workers and elderly people suffering from serious illnesses started. In the first week itself, 12,43,013 vaccine doses were given. After this, the speed of corona vaccination kept increasing week after week. The week of 13 to 19 March 2021 was the first week in which more than one crore of people was vaccinated. However, when the second wave of corona came in May 2021, the pace of vaccination slowed down. Every week vaccination which had increased to 20 million. It came down to less than one crore.
