29 students were found infected on the second day at IIT Roorkee; Scientists said - can only prevent this speed of corona from vaccination

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee continues to meet Corona patients. On the second day also, 29 students living in the hostels of the institute were found to be Corona positive. So far, 89 students of the institute have been infected. Because of the deteriorating situation, the Institute Administration has made Kotle Bhawan, Kasturba Bhavan, Vigyan Kunj, Sarojini Bhawan, and Govind Bhawan as the Containment Zone. The remaining students staying in the hostel are also being investigated.

Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and one of the biggest scientists in the country, Prof. Ashutosh Sharma has said that the pace of this phase of Corona is much higher than before. This means that infection will spread among people more quickly in this phase. To prevent this, only large-scale vaccination will be effective. After vaccination among the majority of the country's population, the effects of infection will begin to subside.

 

A record 1.26 lakh cases were reported on Wednesday.

 

Things are getting worse with Corona across the country. On Wednesday, a record 1 lakh 26 thousand 265 people were found infected in the country. This is the first time since the epidemic started last year when so many people have been infected by infection within a day. Earlier, on April 6, 1.15 lakh people were found corona positive within a day.

 

Apart from this, on Wednesday, 684 patients died and 59 thousand 129 people were recovered. With this, the figure of corona infects has now exceeded 1.29 crores. Of these, 1.18 crore people have been cured, while 1.66 lakh patients have died. There are 9 lakh 5 thousand patients who are undergoing treatment.

 

Prime Minister has the second dose of vaccine

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took the second dose of the Corona vaccine. On Thursday morning, he administered the second dose of Kovacsin in AIIMS New Delhi. The first dose was put on March 1. While sharing the photo on social media, he also appealed to others to get the vaccine installed. Wrote, 'Vaccination is one of the few ways through which corona can be defeated. Therefore, if you complete the eligibility of getting the vaccine, get it done immediately.

Night curfew will be implemented in Prayagraj of Uttar Pradesh from Thursday. The District Magistrate said that from 10 am to 8 am no one will be able to get out of work without necessary work.

 

A new crisis has emerged in Mumbai amidst increasing cases of corona. The vaccine is almost over here. Mayor Kishori Pednekar said- The vaccine stock in Mumbai is almost on the verge of ending. We have given all the vaccine doses to all government hospitals. We now have only one lakh contains left. We have also informed Health Minister Rajesh Tope about this.

 

Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan said that the states which are talking about vaccine deficiency and are seeking to vaccinate people between the age of 18 to 20 years. They are scaring people politically. Now the vaccine will be given only to those who need it most.

 

Corona is becoming uncontrollable in Uttar Pradesh. 38 doctors and 3 health workers, including the chancellor of King George Medical University (KGMU) of Lucknow, have been found infected with corona. Everyone had taken both doses of the vaccine. KGMU spokesman Dr. Sudhir Kumar said that Vice-Chancellor Lt. General Dr. Bipin Puri has been infected for the second time. They are currently in home isolation. He has a fever complaint.

 

The Punjab government has imposed a night curfew in the state till 30 April. People will not be able to leave their homes from 9 am to 5 am without doing the necessary work. The government has also banned any kind of political program.

 

 Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh said that action would also be taken for violation of rules.

 

The Madhya Pradesh government has stopped the bus service for Chhattisgarh till April 15. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that this decision has been taken because of the increasing cases of Corona. Along with this, there will now be a two-day lockdown Saturday-Sunday in all cities in the state. CM announced this on Thursday.

 

Because of the increasing corona cases, Delhi AIIMS has permanently stopped OPD from 8 April. That is, patients will no longer be able to reach for direct checkups.

1. Maharashtra

 

59,907 new patients were found here on Wednesday. 30,296 patients recovered and 322 died. So far, 31.73 lakh people have been affected by the epidemic in the state. Of these, 26.13 lakh people have recovered, while 56,652 have died. Currently, about 5.01 lakh people are being treated here.

 

2. Delhi

 

There were 5,506 new cases on Wednesday. 3,363 patients recovered and 20 infected died. So far, 6.90 lakh people have been affected by this epidemic, 6.59 lakh have been cured and 11,133 have lost their lives. Currently, 19,455 are undergoing treatment.

 

3. Madhya Pradesh

 

4,043 new patients were found here on Wednesday. 2,126 people recovered, while 13 died. So far, 3.18 lakh people have been affected by the epidemic in the state. Of these, 2.87 lakh have been cured, while 4,086 have died. Currently, 26,059 people are undergoing treatment.

 

4. Gujarat

 

On Wednesday, 3,575 new corona patients were found. 2,217 patients recovered, while 22 died. So far, 3.28 lakh people have been affected by the epidemic in the state. Of these, 3.05 lakh have been cured, while 4,620 patients have died and 18,684 people are currently undergoing treatment.

 

5. Punjab

 

2,963 new patients were found here on Wednesday. 2,959 recovered, while 62 died. So far, 2.60 lakh people have been affected by the epidemic in the state. Of these, 2.26 lakh have been cured, while 7,278 have died. Currently, 25,855 people are undergoing treatment.

 

6. Rajasthan

 

On Wednesday, 2,801 infected people were identified. 783 patients recovered and 12 people died. So far, about 3.46 lakh patients have been affected by the epidemic in the state. Of these, 3.46 lakh have been cured, while 2,866 have lost their lives. Currently, 18,146 patients are undergoing treatment.
