The government has released a new update for Cowin Portal. After this update, you will be able to correct any mistake in your vaccine certificate on Cowin itself. If any mistake has been made in the name or date of birth during registration, you can rectify the same by login into the Cowin portal. Arogya Setu has given information about the new update of the Cowin portal by tweeting. To rectify any mistake in the certificate, the option of 'Raise an Issue' will now be available in the Covin portal.
How to improve Vaccine Certificate
If there is any mistake in your vaccine certificate regarding gender, date of birth, name, etc., then the government has given the facility of online correction in it. To rectify any mistake in the Vaccine Certificate, first, you need to login to the COVIN portal with your registered mobile number, then select the ID (in case of multiple registrations) which has to be rectified. After that, you will see the option of Raise an Issue under that ID. After clicking on Raise an Issue, you will get options to correct gender, date of birth, name, etc.
A vaccine certificate has become mandatory for travel to many countries and states. In such a situation, any mistake in the certificate can put you in trouble. Your identity card and vaccine certificate should contain the same information.
It is worth noting that only last month, the Government of India has announced to give a blue tick to the people on the Arogya Setu app. On the Aarogya Setu app, blue ticks will be available with the accounts of those people who have got both doses of the vaccine. Those who get vaccinated on Arogya Setu App will get Blue Tick and Blue Shield. The advantage of this will be that without seeing the certificate, those people who have got the vaccine will be recognized only from the Arogya Setu app.
