A farmer involved in the ongoing movement against agricultural laws died on Friday from a heart attack. Police said that the 57-year-old farmer was involved in demonstrations on the Ghazipur border. Here, before the meeting with the Center on 4 January, the farmers held an important meeting on Friday.

Farmer leaders said that if this meeting did not resolve, the talks did not go in the right direction and the government did not take a firm decision in our favor, then we would close malls and petrol pumps in Haryana. Apart from this, on January 6, we will take out a tractor march, and farmers sitting on the Haryana-Rajasthan border will travel towards Delhi.

Farmer said - So far only 5% of our issues have been discussed

Farmer leaders said that out of all the issues we have raised, only 5% of them have been discussed in the meetings held so far. Earlier, the government said that 50% of the farmers' issues have been discussed. 2 out of 4 issues have been resolved and two will be resolved in the next meeting. On this statement, on Friday, farmer leader Gurnam Singh had said that the government has accepted our two demands related to stubble and electricity law. This does not mean that we will back down from the remaining 2 demands.

Updates

Sukhwinder Singh Sabhara of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee told that all three agricultural laws should be repealed. If no solution is found on 4 January, the struggle will intensify in the coming days.

Chilla and Ghazipur borders of Delhi have been closed. According to the traffic police, because of the movement, the border has been closed for traffic coming from Noida and Ghaziabad.

Punjab Congress MPs are also demonstrating at Jantar Mantar in support of farmers. Ravneet Singh Bitu said that we are demonstrating here with the family for the last 25 days in support of the farmers. It is expected that these black laws will be withdrawn in the new year.

Center asked farmers to explore options

The All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee had said that the Center had sought the option of asking farmers to withdraw the law, which is not possible. The new laws will give corporate control over the agricultural market, farmer's land, and food chain.

On Thursday, the government accepted 2 demands

Farmers have 4 major issues. First, the government should withdraw all three agricultural laws. Secondly, the government should give a legal guarantee that it will continue the minimum support price. Third- Electricity bill will be withdrawn. Fourth- the provision of punishment for burning stubble should be withdrawn.

After five hours of talks on Thursday, the two issues related to the electricity bill and the stubble became a matter between the government and farmer organizations. The farmers then postponed the tractor rally to be held on 31 December. Differences in agricultural law and MSP persist.

Meeting on 4 January on 2 demands

Now the eighth round is to be held between the farmers and the central government on 4 January. It will discuss the demand of farmers to withdraw two agricultural laws and MSP's legal guarantee. Please tell that the farmers have been standing on the borders of Delhi since 26 November. In Punjab, there were agitations before this.
