In such a situation, to monitor and deal with the new variant of Corona, the Ministry of Health has issued Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), which is for airlines and passengers. Travelers coming from the UK will be required to undergo an RT-PCR test at their expense.
Special features of SOP

2. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) will issue Permit of Limited Flights to the UK to Elisable Airlines. It will be kept in mind that there will be time between the 2 flights coming from the UK, so that there is no congestion at the airport. The DGCA will also monitor that no airlines allow transit via a third country airport to passengers coming from the UK.
3. All passengers must provide the travel history of the last 14 days. The declaration form will also have to be filled in for the corona examination.
4. Passengers arriving from the UK between 8 January and 30 January must submit a self-declaration form at www. new Delhi airport.in 72 hours before the trip.
5. All passengers must bring a negative report of the RT-PCR test done 72 hours before the flight. It will also have to be uploaded on www. new Delhi airport. in.
6. Airlines must ensure that the passenger is granted travel permission only after showing a negative report.
7. Airlines have to display information related to SOP in the waiting area of the airport. Passengers will have to explain this before check-in and announcements within the flight as well.
8. Passengers who are found positive in testing at the airport will be kept in the State Health Authorities' Co-ordinated Separate Isolation Center.
9. If the old variant is found in genome sequencing, then the existing protocol for placing the patient in home isolation or covid center will be applicable. If a new variant is found, the separation will be kept in the isolation unit itself.
