Ram Mandir: Nine fire pits... 60 hours of worship, 5.50 lakh mantras; Know what happened during the seven days of Pran Pratistha ritual

The ritual of consecration of Ram Lalla was amazing in many ways. In the seven-day ritual, 5.50 lakh mantras were chanted in the Ramjanmabhoomi complex. All these mantras have been taken from the mythological texts of Ramnagari. Mantras from Purana, Shrimad Bhagwat, and Valmiki Ramayana have been chanted. 121 Vedic ritualistic Brahmins who came from all over the country including Kashi, recited these mantras.

 

The seven-day Pran Pratishtha ritual started on January 16 with Atonement Puja and Karmakuti Puja. The rituals concluded with the consecration of Ramlalla on 22 January. At the auspicious time, Ramlalla's life was consecrated by chanting the mantra Nadiyap Prajame Gopaya Amritatvaya Jeevate, Jaatanch Nishyamaananch, Amrite Satye Pratisthaam...

 

 

The meaning of this mantra is that God is established here and controls the entire creation. You become famous for protecting religion. Acharya Mrityunjay, who was involved in the ritual, said that the oldest and first Veda, the greatest deity of the Rigveda, is Indra. Indra is the god in one-fourth of the Vedas.

 

There are 2500 mantras for Lord Indra. In the second place is Agni, he has two thousand mantras. Two Yagya Mandapas and nine Havan Kunds were built in the Ramjanmabhoomi complex for the rituals. As part of the rituals, offerings were made to nine Havan Kunds for a total of 60 hours for seven days by reciting about 5.5 million mantras.

 

In this, four Vedas, 13 Upanishads, 18 Puranas, Valmiki Ramayana, Tulsidas's Ramcharit Manas, Srimad Bhagwat, and mantras, verses, couplets, paratha and quatrains from Brahmin texts were read.

 

Apart from this, the chanting of Lord Ganesha, Bhairav, Ambika, Navagraha, Vastuhom and after this, the favorite mantra of Lord Ram, Purusha Sukta was also recited. With the mantra of this Puru Sukta, havan was performed in nine fire pits on the evening of 21 January.
