66th day of farmer Protest: Internet closed at Sindhu, Tikri, and Ghazipur border; Delhi police reached Jalandhar in search of miscreants

Today is the 66th day of the peasant movement against agricultural laws. But, after 2 times of violence in the last 4 days, there is continuous action from the government and police in the movement. The central government has stopped internet service at the three important points of the Kisan agitation at Sindhu, Tikri, and Ghazipur border till 31 January.

 

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police team raided Jalandhar on Saturday. This action was taken in the case of a nuisance at Red Fort on 26 January. Regarding this action, Jalandhar police said that two youths of Taran Taran involved in the Red Fort incident were reported to be hiding here. Therefore, Delhi Police raided an area here, but the accused were not found.

 

Policemen injured in nuisance protest with family

On January 26, around 400 policemen were injured in a nuisance at a farmers' tractor rally. In protest, people from the Delhi Police Federation and the families of the injured jawans are protesting at Shaheedi Park. Head constable Ashok Kumar, injured in the violence, said, 'I was posted at the Red Fort Gate. We were driving out of the crowd, while the miscreants suddenly attacked us. He had sticks and swords in his hands. I have had injuries to my head and legs. '

 

Continuation of farmers reaching Ghazipur

Farmers from UP and Haryana are continuously reaching Ghazipur, as this appeal was made in the Mahapanchayat held in Muzaffarnagar on Friday. On the other hand, farmer leaders are celebrating Sadbhavana Day by fasting for a day today. Through this, they want to repent of the violence in the tractor rally in Delhi on 26 January.

 

Abhay Chautala will meet Rakesh Tikait today

Political parties are now openly supporting Rakesh Tikait, spokesperson of Bhartiya Kisan Union. On Saturday, UP Congress President Ajay Kumar Lallu, Delhi Congress leader Alka Lamba and Congress MP from Haryana Deepender Singh Hooda reached Ghazipur. Indian National Lok Dal General Secretary Abhay Chautala will also meet Tikait today. Earlier on Friday, Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) leader Jayant Chaudhary and Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia reached Ghazipur. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav also told Tikait that his party is with the farmers.

 

44 people arrested in connection with violence on Singhu border

Violence between locals and farmers erupted on Friday at the Singhu border, the biggest point of the peasant movement. 5 policemen were injured in this. SHO was attacked with a sword by a miscreant. So far 44 people have been arrested in this case. At the same time, security has been increased on the Singhu and Tikri borders.

 

Internet closed in 17 districts of Haryana

Because of the possibility of deteriorating atmosphere after the violence on the Singhu border, the Haryana government on Friday evening banned internet services in 17 districts. These include Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Kaithal, Panipat, Hisar, Jind, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Fatehabad, Rewari, and Sirsa. In these districts, Internet services will be closed till 5 pm except for voice calls. Internet services are already closed in Sonipat, Palwal, and Jhajjar.

 

72 teams of farmers from Punjab will bring together farmers from other states

To strengthen the movement, the farmers of Punjab will now bring together farmers from other states. For this, 700 farmers from Patiala, 450 from Moga, 50 from Gurdaspur, and 70 from Tanda in Hoshiarpur left for Delhi on Friday. 72 teams of 41 farmer organizations will send one member from each house. These teams will bring farmers from other states into the demonstration.
