Covid-19: Epidemiologist's statement proved correct, active cases started decreasing; But still keep this thing in mind

Coronavirus infection cases have been a cause of concern in India for the last month. On Tuesday (17 June), there has been a slight improvement in the active cases in the country. On Monday, the total number of active cases was 7264, which has come down to 6836 on Tuesday. There has been a decrease of 428 cases in the last 24 hours and only one death has occurred in the last one day. 1168 people have either recovered or have been discharged from the hospital.

For the last several days, there has been a continuous increase in the cases of infection, although there has been a decrease in active cases in a day or two.

Health experts have already been saying that such fluctuations in coronavirus cases may continue in a country with a large population like India. Since the risk of infection remains constant, it is important for all people to continue taking continuous preventive measures. The pace of infection can be reduced by following COVID-appropriate behavior (masks, avoidance of crowds, hand hygiene).

One death due to coronavirus in the last one day

According to the information shared on the Covid dashboard of the Union Health Ministry, one person died due to corona on the last day. This case has been reported in Maharashtra. The 44-year-old woman had serious liver-related problems after bariatric surgery with Covid-19, due to which her condition worsened. The total number of deaths due to coronavirus so far this year has been 109.

The words of the epidemiologist are proving to be correct.

At the beginning of this wave of Omicron's sub-variants (NB.1.8.1 and XFG) in the country, in a conversation with Dr. Anish Sinha, infectious disease-epidemiologist at the Indian Institute of Public Health, Gandhinagar Gujarat, had said that the faster the infection increases in the country, the faster its cases will decrease.

This statement of the expert now seems to be correct. The data of the last two days shows that the cases of corona have now started decreasing.

On June 15 (Sunday), there were a total of 7383 active cases, which came down to 7264 the next day i.e. on June 16.

On June 17, there has been a further decline in this and now the total number of active cases has become 6836.
