The Supreme Court has given 1 day's time to the Karnataka government to give information related to the release of the film. The court says that if a movie has been approved by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), then it should be released in all the states.

Reacting to Kamal Haasan's controversial statement, the Supreme Court said, "If Kamal Haasan has said something inappropriate, it doesn't need to be true. Let the people of Karnataka think about it."

The Supreme Court has also expressed displeasure over the decision of Karnataka High Court. The High Court had rejected Kamal Haasan's apology and reprimanded him, to which the Supreme Court has objected. The Supreme Court said, "It is not your job to seek apology."
