9 suspected cases surfaced at IIT Roorkee, including a foreign student

New Delhi, Agencies. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Roorkee) Roorkee has placed a foreigner and eight Indian students in a 14-day isolation on suspicion of being infected with the corona virus. According to news agency ANI, at least 70 foreign nationals have been kept under observation by the Health Department in Nainital district of Uttarakhand. State government minister Madan Kaushik said on Sunday that the Uttarakhand government has banned mass gatherings due to the outbreak of Corona virus in the state.

Another corona virus-infected case has been confirmed in Maharashtra. The Health Department of Maharashtra has given this information. A total of 33 cases have been confirmed in the state so far. According to the Assam government, all the tiger reserves, sanctuaries and national parks of the state will remain closed between March 17 and 29 to avoid the spread of corona virus.
