The fight against the second wave of Corona in the country has intensified. Because of this, a record 19 lakh 83 thousand 804 tests of Corona were done in the country. This is the largest number of tests conducted in a day. Earlier, 19.45 lakh tests were done on 30 April.
The big thing is that despite the record test, there has not been a big increase in the new infected. Corona was confirmed by only 3.48 lakh people on Tuesday. That is, the positivity rate was 17.6%. This figure was 24.9% two days ago.
It was also a matter of relief that on the previous day, more patients were cured than newly infected for the second consecutive day. In the last 24 hours, 3 lakh 55 thousand 256 people got cured. Earlier on Monday, 3 lakh 29 thousand 491 cases were received and 3 lakh 55 thousand 930 patients were cured.
Death figures increased concern
The death toll is also a matter of concern. In the last 24 hours, 4,198 people have died. This figure has crossed 4 thousand for the third time. Earlier, 4,233 people lost their lives on May 7 and 4,092 on May 8. In the last two days, active cases have also decreased by about 42 thousand. On May 9, the maximum number of patients treated was 37.41 lakh. Now, this figure has come down to 36.99 lakhs.

Restrictions like lockdown in 18 states
There are complete lockdown-like restrictions in 18 states of the country. These include Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Mizoram, Goa, Telangana, and Puducherry. There are stringent restrictions like the previous lockdown.
Partial lockdown in 14 states/union territories
There is a partial lockdown in 14 states and union territories of the country. That is, there are restrictions here, but there are also exemptions. These include Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Assam, Manipur, Tripura, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, and Gujarat.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has canceled a tour of Britain due to the bad situation created in the country by Corona. He was to attend the G-7 summit there. A spokesman for the Ministry of External Affairs said on Tuesday that PM Modi had been specially invited by the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson for the summit. Because of the situation in Corona, it has been decided that the Prime Minister will not attend this conference.
According to Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, states can keep 70% of the vaccines given by the Center for the second dose and 30% for the first dose. He said that those who have taken the first dose should be given priority for the second dose.

1. Maharashtra
On Tuesday, 40,956 people were found infected. 71,966 people recovered and 793 died. To date, 51.79 lakh people in the state have been infected. Of these, 45.41 lakh people have been cured, while 77,191 people have died. 5.58 lakh patients are currently being treated.
2. Uttar Pradesh
On Tuesday, 20,445 people were found infected. 29,358 people recovered and 301 people died. So far, 15.45 lakh people have been infected in the state. Of these, 13.13 lakh have been cured, while 16,043 patients succumbed. 2.16 lakh patients are being treated here.
3. Delhi
In Delhi, 12,481 people were found corona positive on Tuesday. 13,583 people recovered and 347 died. So far, 13.48 lakh people have been infected. Of these, 12.44 lakh people have been cured, while 20,010 patients have died. 83,809 are being treated here.
4. Chhattisgarh
On Tuesday, 9,717 people were found corona infected. 12,786 people recovered and 199 died. So far, 8.63 lakh people have been infected by the infection in the state. Of these, 7.27 lakh people have been cured, while 10,742 patients have died. 1.25 lakh patients are undergoing treatment.
5. Gujarat
On Tuesday, 10,990 people were found infected in the state. 15,198 people recovered and 118 died. To date, 7.03 lakh people have been infected. Of these, 5.63 lakh have been cured, while 8,629 patients have died. 1.31 lakh patients are undergoing treatment.
6. Madhya Pradesh
On Tuesday, 9,754 people were found corona positive in the state. 9,517 people recovered and 94 died. So far, 6.91 lakh people have been infected. Of these, 5.73 lakh people have been cured, while 6,595 people have died. 1.11 lakh patients are undergoing treatment.
