Message of zero tolerance towards terrorism
Shinde, who led a multi-party delegation to UAE and West African countries as part of the government's global outreach efforts after Operation Sindoor, said the unique initiative provided an opportunity to strongly convey India's message of zero tolerance towards terrorism to countries that have a distinct voice in multilateral forums such as the OIC and the UN Security Council.
The delegation led by Shinde visited UAE, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Congo and interacted with senior government representatives, parliaments of the respective countries, think tanks and Indian diaspora during its 14-day visit.
'Pakistan's antics exposed'
Shinde, who represents Mumbai's suburban constituency Kalyan in the Lok Sabha, said, "I think we were successful in exposing the propaganda that Pakistan tried to sell to these countries. It was Pakistan that sent terrorists across the border into India to carry out attacks. We have provided all the evidence." It was a very successful outreach program.
The delegation led by Shinde included Bansuri Swaraj (BJP), E T Mohammed Basheer (IUML), Atul Garg (BJP), Sasmit Patra (BJD), Manan Kumar Mishra (BJP), former Union minister SS Ahluwalia and former diplomat Sujan Chinoy.
